In 2009, former choir treasurer and tenor Tom Collins started up the Note-Orious Book Club. Every month or so, a group from the choir gets together at someone's house to talk about a book (never a long one!) chosen at the last meeting, have a drink and some nibbles and, usually, a bit of a gossip too. In addition, members bring along one or two of their old books to auction off to other members of the group. All proceeds go to boosting choir funds. So far, we have raised enough to buy the choir a new keyboard.
